Kirsten Simone Vangsness, an American actress and playwright who came into the limelight by playing "Penelope Garcia" on the police procedural crime drama television series 'Criminal Minds'. Though she's mostly known for her TV acting, Vangsness also has a few smaller roles in films. Her first appearance was in the world of entertainment in 1998.
